Taghreed Abu Arab's Family #VerifiedByRadioWatermelon# Please donate and share You won’t end the war But you can end someone’s hunger Taghreed Abu Arab, a 52-year-old primary school teacher and former kindergarten owner from Gaza, now lives with her husband Abdul, 54, in a single tent in a displacement camp, along with the rest of their family of seven. Their original home and neighborhood were destroyed by bombing more than a year ago. The household includes their daughter Rital (10), sons Abdullah (16) and Ahmed (20), their son Moamen and his wife Razan, who recently gave birth to a baby boy named Muhammad. Taghreed manages chronic high blood pressure, while both she and Abdul experience ongoing weakness and joint pain; Abdul suffered a stroke linked to prolonged malnutrition. Razan, still recovering from pregnancy and childbirth, frequently feels dizzy and collapses. Despite these challenges, Taghreed has organized a small primary school within the camp using limited available materials, where she now teaches over seventy children who have had no formal education since the war started. She remains committed to providing the young students with structure, learning, and a sense of hope, while her family focuses on daily survival and meeting the essential needs of the new baby.
