Yesterday, I joined Congressman
@JoshHarder to hear from local family farmers in Stockton, CA about the challenges facing their businesses and their families.
Agriculture puts about $7.5 billion into San Joaquin County’s economy each year with nearly 90% of the county’s farms being family farms. From walnuts and almonds to grapes and cherries, they’re high-quality products are sold across the country and across the globe.
But just like so many family farmers across America, they’re getting squeezed from every direction. These farmers put food on this country’s table, the least we can do is make sure Washington doesn’t leave them behind so they can make ends meet and put food on their own.
