Ford's Q2 earnings just came out: The company's EV unit (called Model e) lost $900 million in Q2, with EBIT margin of -89.6%. EV revenue was $1 billion, -58% YoY. Ford: "Volume and revenue down, driven by right-sizing of Mach-E production to customer demand and discontinuation of F-150 Lightning." Overall company earnings: • EPS: $0.42 adj vs. $0.35 exp • Automotive rev: $44.89B vs. $45.86B exp Ford expects to unveil its next-generation EV - which will be a smaller EV pickup truck - sometime in the second half of this year/early next year. It'll come with a native NACS charging port and LFP battery. They're aiming for a $30k starting price and a launch next year. The company raised its full-year guidance of adjusted earnings before interest and taxes to $10 billion and $11 billion, up from $8.5 billion to $10.5 billion. It also raised its expectations for adjusted free cash flow to $6 billion to $7 billion, up from $5 billion to $6 billion.
