So, some of you are just realizing now that your mutuals are supposed to be at least loyal to you? The truth is that a lot of X users don't understand what that word “mutual” is or what loyalty means. Not even the ones that you burst your ass trying to help. One day, these same people will turn around and join the mob to drag you for cheap validation. My personal experiences this year opened my eyes twice and I'm more careful about whoever I let into my personal space. We don't have to be friends, but when I'm with you or we have a relationship that goes beyond the platform, I try my best never to join the mob to castigate even if I perceive you to be wrong. What are mutuals for if I have to join the mob to tear you down simply because I want others to perceive me as being critical of your actions (whatsoever it may be). But the honest truth is that most folks here aren't real. Your mutuals are (most of them anyway) are either jealous of your progress or don't want you to be as big as they are if they are actually at the top. That's why they rejoice at your downfall or join the mob to castigate you if you make human mistakes. Nobody is perfect. We should give ourselves more grace and be real to one another.
