Later that day the tsunami swept her away. Her last message to him was: “Are you okay? I want to go home.” He searched on land for two and a half years. When he couldn’t find her, he learned to scuba dive at the age of 57. Since then he has completed over 650 dives and continues searching the ocean floor, saying he wants to bring her home.
