XPeng's robotics unit raised over $900M at a $6.3B post-money valuation. Largest single-round private raise in China's embodied AI sector.
IDG Capital led. Tencent, Alibaba, and Gaorong joined.
Worth understanding the structure. XPeng Inc. is publicly traded, but this money did not go into XPEV as a parent-level primary. Investors bought equity in Dogotix, a separate robotics subsidiary with its own cap table.
The $900M splits three ways: $600M external, $200M from XPeng itself, $100M from executives. Dogotix stays a controlled subsidiary and still consolidates into XPeng's financials.
Money goes into the IRON humanoid: 76 DoF body, 21 per hand. Mass production targeted end of 2026, deliveries in China and overseas in 2027.
$XPEV fell 8.5% anyway.
