That reply sounds like openness. On a money protocol it is mob rule with better branding: it treats Zcash as a communal meeting anyone may redesign, not a constitutional order the builders and holders already locked in. Benjamin Franklin was asked what they had given the country and said, “A republic, if you can keep it.” The founders drew that line on purpose. A pure democracy lets the assembled public vote itself the treasury. A constitutional republic says some rules are not up for a vibe check just because new people arrived and called it freedom. “I support all humans, AIs, and aliens who want to make me better” erases that line. Shipping code is one thing. Rewriting who gets the issuance is another. The second is the collectivist move: the surplus belongs to whoever showed up this cycle, so a one-year arrival or a well-funded outsider has the same claim on the war chest as the people who carried the protocol when it was hated. Hard money dies the same way the founders said democracies die — when the money rule becomes a permanent negotiation. Keep the republic and do not put the constitution on the suggestion box the first year the team starts winning.
