BREAKING: The U.S. has the most home sellers in 6 years. The problem? Buyers aren’t keeping up.
Redfin estimates 1.53 million sellers versus just 972,300 buyers in August.
That’s 58% more sellers than buyers, the biggest imbalance in records going back to 2013.
In Nashville, Miami and Houston, sellers outnumber buyers by more than TWO TO ONE.
If you can afford to buy, you have more room to negotiate on price, repairs and closing costs.
But having more homes to choose from doesn’t help much if you still can’t afford the monthly payment…
