Be careful of the utterances you make during this election period whether in anger, bitterness or arrogance. Regardless of our differences in opinion, let us be tolerant of each other’s stand. Walk away from inciters and intimidators and welcome the peace makers. Desist from blaming your fellow citizens for the actions of our leaders. Just like you they go through the usual ups and downs of life. Everyone has a friend, workmate, neighbour or relative who is from a different background ethnically and idealistically. Understand that your next door neighbour from a different background is not responsible for the challenges that may come from a national election. We shall still need each other after all is said and done. We shall still need to do business with each other and our children will still need to share a classroom. So as a citizen, do your part and vote for whoever you want as a leader as it is your right. After that live and let live.
