[ Field Footage ] On August 5, Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China, heavy rainfall caused severe urban flooding in the local area, with multiple streets and residential communities submerged. Ground-floor shops and numerous private cars parked on the roadside were completely inundated, with only their rooftops visible above the water.
Residents could only navigate in and out by paddling rubber dinghies. Several residents were forced to wade through the murky floodwaters with great difficulty or climb through windows to evacuate.
I wonder how many more people have drowned? In Communist China, this may remain a mystery forever.
