FOMO is the Friendtech of 2026, except you remove the dark undercurrent of "why are the valuable longterm?" Friendtech had to deal with users propping up their key values with a bunch of different tactics (alpha, fees/buybacks, activity in chat, etc) and it got REALLY tiring. FOMO doesn't have that problem because all the assets are external to the platform/creators. Then you preserve all the other fun parts: - Social elements of monitoring your friends trades and being in one together - Reputational impacts of when/where someone buys/sells (e.g. if they copytrade farm) They've also just done well to abstract the chains entirely so people don't have to deal with the cultish groupthink of individual ecosystems. When you hear the dialog around the app it even has the same conversation around "native" users getting outsized influence relative to established personalities on X, which is the exact same convo's we were having on Friendtech when random users would have key values 2-3x that of large CT accounts. It's the sign of a net-new social graph taking shape (bullish). If they add trading groups and tokenize access to them this thing probably goes to the parabolic even more than it already is because you introduce net-new asset creation and the insane wealth effects that come with it.
