BILLIONAIRE INVESTOR JEREMY GRANTHAM SAYS BITCOIN WILL “DWINDLE AWAY WITH A WHIMPER”
Jeremy Grantham renews his long-running criticism of Bitcoin, calling it a “useless, speculative” asset with no intrinsic value and predicting it will “dwindle away, not with a bang, but a whimper.”
Speaking on CNBC, the GMO co-founder argued Bitcoin has failed to prove itself as either a stable store of value or a practical medium of exchange, saying its primary real-world use is helping “crooks move money around.”
He also noted that gold has continued to deliver strong returns over the same period.
