Great framework. Excited to see more models in the 2nd category
Token spend/value will split three ways:
1️⃣ Cheap generalist: commodity open weights (most volume, small % of total spend)
2️⃣ SOTA specialist: enterprise proprietary context + open weights (most spend)
3️⃣ SOTA generalist: closed labs (small % of total volume)
To support crazy valuations, both Anthropic and OpenAI need to make enterprises comfortable building the specialist (2) with them instead.
