🔒 10 USDC in a vault. Lock 5. The total balance still reads 10, but only 5 can move. That's the new Lock feature within Vaults, and our CPO Chris Sutton demos it in 90 seconds. Vaults give you a balance sheet while Locks make reservations real. In this demo: 1️⃣ Chris opens a vault holding 10 USDC on Ethereum 2️⃣ He picks the asset, locks 5 USDC, reviews and signs with a passkey 3️⃣ The vault now shows 5 available and 5 locked. Nothing moved onchain. 4️⃣ He tries to think about transferring the locked 5 but DFNS won't allow it. 5️⃣ Unlocking requires a click and a passkey signature from the right user. Three reasons you'd want this: → Escrow where funds must be proven present before delivery. → Settlement where a venue needs certainty you can settle without pre-funding. → Or holding a portion of a balance for additional review before it goes anywhere.
