On July 30, 1995, three women were found shot to death inside the office of a small supermarket in Hachioji, Japan. The victims were 47-year-old Noriko Inagaki and two high school students, 17-year-old Megumi Yabuki and 16-year-old Hiromi Maeda. Just minutes before the murders, Noriko had called a friend and asked him to pick her up for dinner. All three were shot at close range. Megumi and Hiromi had been tied with tape. A bullet was also fired into the store’s safe, making robbery seem like the motive. However, the safe still contained 5.26 million yen, and nothing appeared to have been stolen. Police recovered fingerprints, DNA, shoeprints, and other evidence, but none led to the killer. The murder weapon was also never found. More than 30 years later, no one has been arrested. Despite thousands of hours of police work and more than 1,600 tips, investigators still do not know who killed Noriko, Megumi, and Hiromi or why. More creepy photos:
