i was so excited to feel a shift in what i could post after leaving openai, but when i left i realized i had been speaking my mind perfectly freely
absolutely unprecedented at openais scale, tells you a lot about the companies values and honesty

One of the things I most respect about OpenAI is how (relatively) little it constrains employee voices. OpenAI employees can post whatever they want, argue with one another on X, and shape discourse more publicly. I wish other labs would allow the same for their employees
