Had a sit-down chat with BYU head coach Kalani Sitake here at Big 12 Football Media Days. Audio of that interview--and all of my other one-on-ones and podium press conferences--will post here. Kalani: "I think last year, everyone was questioning the quarterback position. This year, I think people are wondering about the wide receiver position." Is Kalani wondering? “Not really. If we didn’t have any talent there, I’d be really concerned, but I’ve seen the guys play. It’s hard to replace great leadership like Chase Roberts, what he brings to the table, but we have some great capable guys--that, along with the timing with Bear (Bachmeier) from the offseason, from spring ball to now, I feel really encouraged about. That’s for me--I understand fans and everyone that doesn’t get to see them on a day-to-day basis, but I feel like we’re in a really good spot. Still have a lot of work to do, though.”
