NEWS: X sued a group it says faked engagement to take more than 200,000 pounds from creators. X filed in the High Court in London against Vivek Kumar Sen and Zamyang Sherpa and others behind a network of crypto accounts. The complaint says they liked and reposted each other and posted near copy paste content within seconds to fake real engagement, then cashed out through Creator Revenue Sharing. It says they hid behind a web of Stripe and bank accounts under false names so the money kept flowing even if one account got caught. X also says the ring tried to grow by selling engagement manipulation as a service to other people and buying up more high follower accounts. X suspended the accounts in August and says the group pulled in over 207,000 pounds it was never owed. It is now going to court to claw that money back.
