On May 8, 2026, Ashley Stenson arrived at Peoria International Airport from Atlanta and was intercepted by her former boyfriend, Cortez White. Ashley was terrified and managed to text relatives alerting them he wouldn't let her leave and intended to kill her😱 Family members immediately called police with descriptions and vehicle details. When a Peoria Police officer tracked them down outside the Sheraton hotel, the situation instantly turned fatal. Stepping out of the cruiser, the officer asked to confirm their names.
