A September hike would mean we get it over with now, with no hike in October right before the election, so besides the CPI data, that’s one argument for a hike on Wednesday.
On the other hand, there’s the potential Trump TACO + Daddy Donald saying: “I won’t let that happen [a rate hike].”
We will see.
