Couldn't agree more. The Lightning Network already does what every payment system wishes it could do (settle instantly, anywhere, for basically nothing). But in what will soon be known as the Before Times, building on it non-custodially meant running your own infrastructure (channels, liquidity, etc), and that scared off a lot of builders.
Builders, fear no more! Wavelength is your answer. If you (or your agent!) can call an API, you can build on Lightning.
