This is set to be China’s fourth carrier, and there is strong evidence it will be its first nuclear-powered type, bringing an even more significant boost to the country’s naval power projection capabilities. The ongoing progress on the carrier is plainly visible in satellite imagery taken on Friday, which TWZ obtained from Vantor.
