BIG | 🇵🇱‼️ Poland narrowly avoided a potentially serious railway disaster on the evening of September 22, when two freight trains traveling in opposite directions struck concrete blocks deliberately placed on the tracks near Jedlanka in Łuków County. Both trains remained on the rails and neither driver was injured, although the front protective sections of both locomotives were damaged. Rail traffic through the affected section was subsequently suspended. Initial information points to a suspected act of sabotage, with unknown individuals believed to have deliberately placed the concrete blocks on the railway. Polish investigators are now handling the case. Poland’s railway network is an important part of the logistics system supporting Ukraine. While the motive behind this incident has not yet been established, any deliberate attempt to disrupt rail traffic in this area will inevitably raise concerns about possible sabotage targeting critical transport infrastructure.
