$META AGREES TO $18B YOUTH SAFETY COMMITMENT
It will spend $18B over 10 years on youth online safety initiatives under its settlement with U.S. states.
For users under 18, Meta agreed to:
• Limit social media use to 2 hours per day
• Block access from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.
An independent auditor will monitor compliance for five years.
Meta will record a $10B legal expense in Q3 2026, but says its July financial guidance remains unchanged.
