We will always have access to Diego Garcia because if the UK tried to kick us out we'd simply annex the territory.
The Yanks have lost their minds at the sane world holding a rogue state to account. Honestly wonder why they continue to have access to Diego Garcia and other British bases to further their mindless wars in the Middle East. Especially if this is the sort of gratitude is received.
