$TSLA has started paid Cybercab rides in Texas.
DMV data shows 45 Cybercabs are already part of Tesla’s 314-vehicle authorized autonomous fleet.
Tesla has also opened a form for fleet operators interested in buying Cybercabs.
Holy cow...
Tesla just added 45 Cybercabs to the Texas robotaxi registry.
The fleet now shows:
• 45 Cybercabs
• 269 Model Ys
• 314 Tesla robotaxis total
And the wild thing is all 45 Cybercabs were added TODAY.
Put that into perspective:
• Cybercab already makes up 14.3% of Tesla’s registered Texas robotaxi fleet
• Tesla now has 314 robotaxis registered in Texas vs. Waymo’s 736
• That puts Tesla at roughly 43% the size of Waymo’s entire registered Texas fleet
Cybercab is now registered to operate commercially in Texas and Tesla just added 45 of them at once.
We are watching the Cybercab fleet go from “coming soon” to real fleet deployment right in front of our eyes.
3 days before Thursday’s Cybercab launch event in Austin!
