Interesting that the 10-yr Treasury yield experienced a major reversal to 4.726% after an initial rally on Warsh's speech at 10AM EST to 4.66% (surely the initial rally was algo-driven). Anyone can talk tough ("hawkish") about inflation, as Fed chairmen almost always do, but it's another matter to act tough (hike rates) - especially with Trump administration pressure to do otherwise. Vice Chancellor Travis Laster granted Meteora Capital summary judgment against Roadzen today. The opinion calculates that Roadzen sent Meteora roughly $46.36 million after the merger, while Meteora’s settlement payment was only $914,726, leaving Meteora with a $45.1 million net gain on the forward before additional trading profits.
Laster wrote that the agreement “stacked the deck” in Meteora’s favor and even described one provision with a single word: “Slick.” His bottom line was pure Delaware contract law: “A frog must account for a scorpion’s character.”
