Aehr Test Systems $AEHR initiated with a Buy at Jefferies Jefferies analyst Kevin Garrigan initiated coverage of Aehr Test Systems with a Buy rating and $175 price target. The firm views the company as the only vendor offering both wafer- and package-level burn-in qualified into AI production. The firm added that the stock multiple is sustainable as the market shifts towards AI reliability test, noting that the market still prices the shares against the company's FY24 SiC profile despite AI, SiPho, and networking now driving revenue and backlog.

$AEHR Some may be wondering what's wrong with Aehr Test Systems. This is just sector / rotational movement. I've been saying for a while the stock has gotten ahead of itself (and my $70 price target for the EoY), so I can't really complain here. But this is also why I take profits on runners like this. I had $95 and $75 CC contracts called away on Friday. I didn't roll them out. I'll re-write these as cash-secured puts if we break under $70 (or higher if meaningful news comes out of a new contract - likely by the end of the month). Don't take profits too aggressively, but also don't fail to take profits, and if you struggle with taking profits, covered calls can be a good vehicle to do so. I still hold a bit more than 35% of my original position.

$AEHR update A lot happened here in the last 24 hours. First, there was earnings-date confusion. Some calendars had AEHR reporting on Oct. 1, while others moved it to Oct. 7. The company's IR page still hadn't posted an official Q1 FY2027 earnings announcement, which created a lot of noise around the date. Then yesterday, $TER added burn-in capabilities to Titan HP, its system-level test platform for high-power AI devices. Naturally, the market interpreted this as a competitive threat to AEHR. The overlap is real but narrow. Titan HP goes after package-level burn-in, which means stressing finished, packaged chips to weed out early failures before they ship. That's Sonoma's lane. It does not touch AEHR's wafer-level burn-in (FOX-XP), which screens bad dies before they go into expensive advanced packaging like CoWoS. And then today, $AEHR announced ~$6M of follow-on Sonoma production orders from its lead hyperscale customer for a second-generation AI processor. The interesting part: this isn't a new evaluation or qualification. It's follow-on production capacity, with the customer expecting the second processor to eventually reach production volumes above the first processor already in high-volume production. Deliveries are scheduled over the next six months.

Oppenheimer initiates $AEHR at $130 saying “even one additional leading AI processor adopting FOX in HVM could require dozens of systems and materially raise AEHR’s earnings ceiling.” That upside gets more interesting as AI packages become more expensive and complex because Aehr can capture the test workload both before packaging with FOX and after packaging with Sonoma.
