The State Department is now treating Antifa like a coordinated, global terror network instead of an “idea.” And it’s not alone. @statedeptspox Tommy Pigott reveals how the U.S. is finally working with our global allies to address this threat: “The Secretary [Marco Rubio] is speaking to so many countries… over 50 countries that have already confirmed their attendance, and we expect more. So, what we're actually seeing is many of these countries around the world recognizing this as the problem that it is. This has been a gap that has existed for many decades, ignored by previous administrations, and we're no longer ignoring it now. We're identifying these transnational networks to make sure we know where the money's going to, how these are connected, working with our partners, identifying them. And that's why the foreign policy element of this is so important, because so many of these groups are actually transnational. So we're making sure we're addressing this gap in our counterterrorism strategy and dismantling these networks.”

The Italy-based extremist online collective that provides digital infrastructure for Antifa cells, Autistici/Inventati, announced on Sept. 6 that it would shut down for the foreseeable future. This follows the group’s designation by the @StateDept last month. Shortly afterward, a third-party attacker gained access to data on their servers, leading users to believe the NoBlogs platform was unsafe and to fear it was now under U.S. government control.
