A one day RBI Workshop on the theme "Navigating Transformation, Innovation & Global Integration: RBI in Shaping India's Financial Future" was held at College of Defence Management, Secunderabad #CDM_IDS#, for participants of #HDMC_22#. Shri R. Karthikeyan and Ms Anshupriya Goswami, Deputy General Managers & Members of Faculty, RBI Staff College, Chennai, took participants through four segments — Monetary Policy, Forex Market Management, Internationalisation of the Rupee, and Consumer Security in Digital Banking — delving into how inflation is managed, how interest rates and key policy tools shape the economy, and how India's central bank compares with its global counterparts. These engagements reflect military leadership's commitment to broadening its intellectual horizons beyond conventional domains — equipping officers to better read the institutions that shape the environment around them. @DefenceMinIndia @SethSanjayMP @SpokespersonMoD @MIB_India

A One-of-a-Kind Cadillac That Disappeared And Came Back to Stun the World Jim Patterson isn’t just preparing a car. He’s preparing a moment. For the past two years, his 1937 Cadillac has lived in a state of careful reconstruction, every detail examined, every surface reconsidered. Now, with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance just weeks away, the work is nearly complete. What remains is the anticipation. Because this isn’t just any Cadillac. It’s a one-off. The story begins in Switzerland, in the mid-1930s, when a wealthy buyer in Lausanne set out to commission the most imposing automobile he could imagine. He ordered a Cadillac chassis and drivetrain from the United States, but instead of accepting a factory body, he turned to a Swiss coachbuilder named Hartmann. What emerged was extraordinary. A 22-foot-long machine, sculpted with European elegance and powered by a 16-cylinder engine, essentially two V-8s working as one. The proportions were dramatic. The presence unmistakable. It was a car built not just to be driven, but to be seen. Then history intervened. World War II swept across Europe, and the Cadillac’s story faded into obscurity. For years, it sat neglected, slowly deteriorating. Decades later, it resurfaced in the United States, eventually finding its way into the Blackhawk Museum in California. It underwent some restoration, but much of its original character remained buried beneath time. Three years ago, the car came up for sale. Jim saw potential. He acquired it and immediately began a comprehensive restoration, partnering with RM Auto Restoration in Canada. The process wasn’t just about rebuilding, it was about rediscovery. Original factory build sheets from General Motors helped guide the work, along with rare firsthand recollections from a former GM employee who had seen the car decades earlier. Piece by piece, the past came back into focus. Even now, when Jim shows the car privately to collectors, the reaction is consistent. People try to place it, guessing at Packard, Duesenberg, before realizing what it truly is. A Cadillac. But unlike any other. As the final stages approach, the energy shifts from construction to presentation. Pebble Beach is more than an event; it is the stage where automotive history is judged, celebrated, and remembered. For Jim, this debut is the culmination of years of effort. For the car, it’s something else entirely. A return. From obscurity to the spotlight. From forgotten relic to center stage. Would a 22 foot car even fit in YOUR garage?

A one-vote margin just changed the conversation around ICE in Minnesota. In a razor-thin 34–33 vote, the state Senate backed a bill banning ICE agents from wearing masks during operations, and giving residents the right to sue if they believe their constitutional rights were violated.
