ARKHAM ALERT: ALAMEDA MOVING SOL
Alameda Research addresses woke up for the first time in a month to move $19.45M of SOL and sent it all to new addresses. They do this every month.
Alameda still holds $322M of SOL. At this rate, they will distribute it all by September 2027.
Who was the first investor in Cursor? The GOAT investor SBF of course.
Alameda Research invested $200k to take half of the company’s $400k pre-seed in 2022.
Its stake was sold off in FTX bankruptcy proceedings in 2023 for………$200k.
In past 12 hours, a multi-sig wallet of #Alameda_Research# transferred 7.93M $ZRO (~$15.48M) to #Wintermute#'s wallet.
Within 3 months, he transferred totally 38.79M $ZRO (~$75.41M) to #Wintermute#.

I remember hearing from multiple ppl (who had used them) that Alameda's execution desk wouldn't even randomize the order sizes/frequency, just lobbing equally sized clips at regular intervals.
No attempt at hiding flow/matching liquidity.
The ironic part was that there wasn't much to indicate people were detecting them even despite the fact that their execution was worse than a standard VWAP algo.
Looking back, this was an early warning sign, but all I could think was, "hahaha I'm going to front-run these losers"

1/ Very rough and speculative sketch of what I increasingly think happened at FTX as more info comes out…
The central question is where did the money go? Yes malfeasance and fraud is necessary, but at one point in the cycle cash actually has to go out the door
