🚨A magistrate judge just released the woman charged with defacing the World War II Memorial, and the man who swore him in has a long history of opposing Trump!! U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew J. Sharbaugh ordered Melissa Farris released after she was charged with two federal felonies for spray-painting the World War II Memorial and dumping detergent into its fountain. Prosecutors argued she was a flight risk, citing searches for travel tickets and her lack of ties to the area. Thefar-left judge disagreed. Sharbaugh was sworn into his position in October 2024 by Chief Judge James E. Boasberg.
