FTC NEARS POTENTIAL YOUTUBE LAWSUIT OVER CONTENT POLICIES The FTC has been investigating YouTube since last year over whether it violated consumer protection laws by suspending accounts or demoting content in ways that conflicted with its own stated policies, per Bloomberg. The agency is reportedly in the final stages of preparing a potential lawsuit. The probe is focused on whether users were misled about what content was allowed on the platform and then later had content removed or accounts suspended. Google has not been accused of wrongdoing, and the investigation could still end without enforcement action.

$NFLX - NETFLIX HIKES PRICES IN GERMANY & AUSTRIA Netflix is raising subscription prices by up to €2 across Germany and Austria, affecting around 18% of EMEA subscribers. Citi estimates the hikes could boost ARPU by 24% in Germany, 15% in Austria and roughly 1.5% company-wide. Consumer protection rules may delay some benefits into 2027.
