Adobe $ADBE names Anil Chakravarthy its next President and CEO, effective Dec. 1, with longtime CEO Shantanu Narayen moving to Executive Chair. Chakravarthy joined Adobe in 2020 and currently leads its Customer Experience Orchestration business. Before Adobe, he spent nearly five years as CEO of Informatica and previously held senior roles at Symantec. The move completes the succession process Adobe announced in March, when Narayen said he would step down once a successor was found. Narayen has led Adobe since 2007 and oversaw its transformation from packaged software into a cloud-based subscription business, including the shift of Creative Suite to Creative Cloud. Chakravarthy now takes over as Adobe navigates its next major transition around generative and agentic AI.
