Why spend energy on EIP-8361? We have a mechanism to reduce issuance: EIP-1559. Instead of working on issuance reengineering that will have no impact on ETH price (or likely downward pressure), we should make Ethereum a usable chain for financial applications at scale. We need higher throughput, sub-1s confirmation and privacy. Everything else is a distraction.

If we ship FOCIL (EIP-7805), Frame Transactions (EIP-8141), Keyed Nonces (EIP-8250) and Recent Roots (EIP-8272) in Hegota, we get native, trustless, censorship resistant private transactions on Ethereum next year.
