The FAA briefly paused flights into and out of Minneapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center's airspace due to telecommunication issues. Services have been fully restored, and flights are returning to normal.
The FAA is investigating the cause.

FIREWATCH: Firefighters working on the wildfires in Spokane County say they've had to ground air support due to 26 personal drones flying over crews.
Modernization is reaching @PaineField. ✈️ Air traffic controllers now have a new Tower Simulation System that creates realistic airport scenarios to enhance training.
The Tower Simulation System projects realistic airport layouts, allowing controllers to practice operations and a variety of scenarios in a controlled environment, the FAA said.

Chris jumped into action on the night of the tragic midair collision — just 48 hours into the job — and showed remarkable strength.
In the days following the crash, Chris helped us keep our skies safe — eliminating mixed traffic over the Potomac and a number of other immediate safety reforms.
He’s also been a champion of our historic air traffic control modernization campaign, controller hiring surge, and first of its kind eVTOL program.
The DOT and FAA will miss his leadership and wish him all the best in his next adventure.

FAA systems and publications reflect the new identifier. Pilots, air traffic controllers, and aviation stakeholders should use DJT for flight planning and operations.
