FUTURECORE ACQUISITION FILES FOR $75M SPAC IPO FutureCore Acquisition Corp. has filed to raise $75M through an IPO of 7.5M units priced at $10 each. Each unit will include one ordinary share, a right to receive one-quarter of a share upon completion of a business combination, and one warrant exercisable at $11.50 per share. The SPAC plans to list its units on Nasdaq under $FTCRU, with the shares, rights and warrants expected to trade separately later under $FTCR, $FTCRR and $FTCRW. FutureCore has not identified a specific acquisition target and says its search will not be limited to any particular industry or geography. It will have 15 months after the IPO closes to complete a business combination. The underwriter also has an option to purchase up to an additional 1.125M units, which could increase the offering to $86.25M. Polaris Advisory Partners is serving as sole book-running manager. FutureSearch co-founder @dschwarz26 argues prediction markets lost the epistemic commons race to AI chatbots because nobody actually changes their career or personal life based on Polymarket: "It was a bit sad honestly to see how quickly prediction markets have lost their role as an epistemic commons for the world compared to AI systems." "By the time we finally got these prediction markets, there's all of these hundreds of thousands of humans who are researching these questions, betting against each other." "Some of them are using Future Search in order to make better bets. But at the end of the day, the probabilities coming out are not that useful, and I don't know very many people who are actually making different decisions in their careers or personal lives based on things that they're seeing in prediction markets." "But people are making different decisions by talking to AI chatbots and systems like Future Search that can advise them specifically."
