A Taiwan temple is extending traditional Hungry Ghost Festival rites to deceased pets, allowing people to honor them alongside human ancestors with memorial tablets, food offerings and prayers for the afterlife

In Sibu, Sarawak, they don’t just burn paper money for Hungry Ghost Festival. They build a ship. This week at Fong Hwang San Ur Par Wang Kong Temple (凤凰山二霸王公庙), a 68-foot bamboo-and-paper vessel was set alight. Temple members spent weeks assembling it by hand — bamboo frame, paper skin, no metal. Then they burned it at night so the dead could sail. The meaning is local and specific. Early Chinese settlers left Fujian and Guangdong, built a life on the Rajang, and never went home. When they died, their descendants burned a junk so those souls could still make the crossing. The same fire also feeds the “good brothers” — wandering ghosts with no one left to offer them anything. After the ship goes, people rush the altar and grab the food. That’s 抢孤 — taking the blessing home. This is not a tourism board reenactment. It’s a Foochow/Hokkien custom that crossed the South China Sea and stayed. One temple in Sibu still does the full ship. That is how diaspora culture actually survives: not as a museum label, but as weeks of unpaid labour and a night of fire. Also for the overseas diaspora: 中元节在砂拉越诗巫：凤凰山二霸王公庙烧了一艘近70尺的竹纸冥船。早期南来的祖先回不了唐山，后人就扎船、烧船，送他们过海。顺便超度没人祭的好兄弟。烧完抢孤。这才是活着的民间信仰，不是宣传片。 #HungryGhostFestival# #中元节# #Sibu# #Sarawak# #诗巫# #大翻译运动#

Ghost of Yōtei is selling less than Ghost of Tsushima, but it’s still generating almost the same amount of revenue, according to estimates from Alinea Analytics. Alinea Analytics estimates that Yōtei has sold around 5.4 million copies and generated approximately $407 million in revenue. For comparison, Ghost of Tsushima had sold nearly 7 million copies at the same point and generated around $418 million. That means Yōtei has sold roughly 1.6 million fewer copies, while the revenue difference is only around 3%. Elliott also pushed back against claims that the game is a flop: “Anyone who says that Ghost of Yotei is a flop is flat-out wrong.”

Ghost caught on camera. Eyewitness states: I was very skeptical at first but kept examining it. Knowing its atleast a queen sized bed, knowing how short my brothers wife is and seeing where her head is laying. I dont know how shed be long enough to do it. She is also completely out. It would have to be her left leg kicking up. Based on the outline of her body I dont see how anatomically she could flick her left leg so swiftly like that while side sleeping.

Ghost Caught on Camera at night time in Gettysburg. Gettysburg is a frequent hotspot for these types of videos due to its history. The Battle of Gettysburg (July 1–3, 1863) was the bloodiest single battle of the American Civil War, resulting in an estimated 51,000+ casualties. The sheer intensity and speed of the tragedy left a permanent mark on the landscape, the town, and American history. The undeniable link between Gettysburg's tragic history and its reputation as a "paranormal hotspot" comes down to the staggering scale of human suffering that occurred there.

Ghost of Yotei: Complete Edition is adding armour sets based on Astro Bot, Journey, and Helldivers. They unlock in Most Wanted, a new roguelike mode of combat challenges that ends with a fight against one of the Yotei Six. The outfits can also be used in the main story. They appear to be cosmetic skins, not sets with their own perks.
