By inventing junk bonds, he revolutionized capitalism, putting inefficiency and corporate complacency in the crosshairs. Armed with only a "highly confident" letter, anyone could be a hunter and anyone could be prey. Milken's innovation meant that new ideas flourished, and CEOs were forced to adopt an "evolve or die" mentality. There are now millions of people have jobs because of Michael Milken. America itself is more competitive globally because of him. And after he got out of jail, he revolutionized how we approach philanthropy and cancer research. And despite his pardon, he still has a lifetime ban from the SEC (since 1990) for the securities industry. Travesty. Read these books: Barbarians At The Gate Den of Thieves Predators' Ball Highly Confident: The Crime and Punishment of Michael Milken Although probably not Milken-level, @MartinShkreli is banned from pharmaceuticals and healthcare. Total travesty. Shkreli deserves a pardon ASAP. He bounced back from a politicized prison sentence and immediately mastered crypto and AI. MAHA needs his brain more than ever.
