VIDEO | CPI(M) MP John Brittas (@JohnBrittas) on Tuesday demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and urged the Rajya Sabha Chairman to activate the impeachment notice given during the last session. "See, Gyanesh Kumar doesn't have the right to continue in his position even for a second. And we urge upon the Rajya Sabha Chairman to activate the notice we had given during the last session for impeachment of the Chief Election Commissioner," Brittas said. "Even those two Election Commissioners who are picked up by this government, even they couldn't bear with the way in which he was conducting himself. And all those manipulation, manoeuvring that has been done to ensure disenfranchisement of crores of voters of this country," he alleged. "I think their intention was to subvert the democracy itself.
