GTA 6’s HDR and SDR trailers were compared to see whether the HDR version contains any extra visual detail. A technical comparison of the HDR and SDR versions found that HDR mainly changes how the game displays brightness and contrast. HDR isn’t adding extra detail to the image. The same visual information is displayed across a wider brightness range. The HDR version can make GTA 6’s lighting look more realistic and cinematic, but it’s not a higher-detail version of the trailer.

LTX Studio now supports SDR to HDR. AI video has looked good right up until post. Then the grade starts, highlights clip, shadows lose detail, and the shot loses the range finishing teams need. No need to start over. Upgrade your existing videos from SDR to HDR right inside LTX Studio.

LTX-2.5 🤠 IC LoRA SDR To HDR Converts 8-bit standard-dynamic-range (SDR) video into 16-bit high-dynamic-range (HDR) video, using the SDR clip itself as the control signal and writing EXR output in addition to an HLG master.
