Mycorealms founder on why being based in India is the edge "It's a very normal business. Our edge is that we are based in a third world country that is not China. Pretty much a big share of the industry is owned by China, and the quality of mushrooms in China is really debatable. We have seen different reports where people are not able to easily trust the products from China" "So being in India, we are able to provide a different alternative for projects or companies that want to have a secondary source of supply chain. That's our edge" "If you look at the retail products sold in the USA, probably the second biggest mushroom related market, capsules of 160 are sold at 35 to 40 dollars, which will cost us at max 10 to 15 dollars to produce" "So we are going to start small and target India itself, and after we have proven our revenue and demand, then we are going to scale towards exporting the products or white labelling as well" FT @mycorealms
