A $243K ICO wrapped up, the first tokenized fossil went live on Solana, and a Hot Wheels gacha sold out its starter packs...plenty happened this week across the @MetaDAOProject ecosystem! Here’s the full rundown: @hivebits_io completed its ICO on @futarddotio with $243K raised from 150 contributors, reaching 173% of its target. @JurassicFi completed the Deaton sale. The first tokenized fossil now trades on Solana as TRCH1. There’s also a TRCH1/USDC market live on @omnipair for borrowing, LPing and looping. @ripcarsio launched its Hot Wheels gacha platform on Solana with more than 1,500 vaulted cars. Starter packs sold out in a few days. @UmbraPrivacy, @omnipair and @crediblefin each put forward proposals to convert a portion of their USDC treasury into USDv from @solomon_labs. @UmbraPrivacy saw UMBRA-005 pass. The proposal authorizes up to $250K of treasury USDC to buy UMBRA below NAV, with all acquired tokens going to the DAO treasury. @loyal_hq reached $800K in active deposits for its Loyal Earn product. @lbolord joined MetaDAO to help grow the number and quality of founders. He’ll work directly with teams on fundraising and onboarding. @avici increased its daily ATM withdrawal limit to $3,000. Signature card holders pay no ATM withdrawal fees and virtual cards can also be used at NFC-enabled ATMs.

"A lot of people have PTSD from the old days and other token launches" Rip Cars co-founder David Khosroshvili on why MetaDAO changes the founder dump risk "I don't think people realize how much ultimate power token holders have in the MetaDAO ecosystem." "A lot of the fear with earlier unlocks is that the founder is going to dump it on the market. Which, after 18 months the founder could also dump it on the market in the old structure. It just kind of removes the 18 month thing." "The cool thing about MetaDAO is the unlock doesn't happen all together, there are going to be smaller portions of unlocks. And after that, if you see me selling on the market and actually doing damage to the market itself, first of all the founder has to be a bit dumb to do that. Because if I go to the market and just dump it into the LP, of course people are going to FUD my product, and then I'm most probably going to have far fewer users, and no one is going to care about my company." "And if I do create a situation where people think I'm creating more damage to the company than the value I'm bringing, then people can always liquidate me. People don't really realize the power of token holders in the MetaDAO ecosystem, where they can easily liquidate the project early on." "A lot of the power is always on the token holder side, and I believe bringing a bit of balance to the team side just makes sense." FT @allocateur @ripcarsio

HiveBits founder Nemanja on why the bees are in Bosnia and the R&D is in Serbia "Sometimes people get a bit confused about what's happening. Originally I'm from Bosnia, I was born and grew up there, and my co-founder is also from Bosnia. In Bosnia we already have the bees. My co-founder runs around 200 beehives by himself already." "These are going to be there because we have land, we have human resources, we have properties where we can do all these big operations. So everything is there already." "On the other side, I'm living in Serbia, in Fruška Gora National Park. I run an apitherapy center, and in the apitherapy center I do healing and prevention with bees and bee products. So I heal people with the bee, even with bee venom. We sting people." "This apitherapy center is also our research and development center. So right now I'm going to be in rotation between Bosnia and Serbia, two or three weeks there, two or three weeks here, depending on where I need to be." FT @0xBeeSmart @hivebits_io

"Small unlocks for the founders early on don't really change the balance of power" Rip Cars co-founder David Khosroshvili on why he pushed for early unlocks, and why token holders still hold all the leverage "Before that, we didn't realize it could take off so fast. Once we raised the money and started to execute on it, one thing I realized is that there's so much work to be done. Literally no sleep, no weekends." "Realizing it could take off on day one made me think that maybe the team deserves a bit of a cut. My feeling was, if we launch it and everyone is celebrating, that's great. But I think the team has something to celebrate as well." "Token holders don't realize how much power they still have in the system. For example, they can literally fire me and my co-founder with a proposal. They can liquidate us. Token holders can propose buyback proposals." FT @allocateur @ripcarsio

"Bee venom is the king of all bee products" HiveBits founder Nemanja on why pharma and cosmetics want bee venom more than honey "It's used in the pharma industry, especially in some creams, and in the cosmetic industry. This is actually a huge market. It's worth around $80 billion, this natural cosmetics thing. It's much bigger than honey products." "It's also used in some neuro diseases, and mostly now they experiment with that, creating new medicines with it. So it's a really interesting addition to standard beekeeping." "There are some things that need to be fulfilled before you can sell these things to some big companies or to some vendors, but this is something we will dig deeper into and try to bring to the table as well." "In any case, we're starting with standard production, and we're going to bring the value to the table either way. But with bee venom, we can actually increase what we can produce per year." Following MetaDAO, Umbra and Credible, @omnipair could be the next company in the ecosystem to add @solomon_labs USDv to its treasury. A new proposal authored by Rakka would convert $130,000 of Omnipair’s USDC treasury into USDv if passed. This allocation could generate an estimated 2.5%–5% annual reward rate on capital currently sitting idle. Now open for trading on @MetaDAOProject's website, the proposal is one of many catalysts expected ahead of the Omnipair V2 launch.

HiveBits founder Nemanja says six to seven out of ten jars of honey in retail are fake "One of the problems in beekeeping is a trust problem, and crypto was built to solve this trust problem. When you buy honey you don't know what you're buying, especially in retail, because all research shows that six to seven out of ten jars of honey in retail are fake honey." "What we want to achieve is that tomorrow, when you buy a jar of honey from HiveBits or a beekeeper on our network, you're 100% sure what you get at your table, because we're talking about food." "Fake honey is mostly synthetic honey produced in China, or some beekeepers mix sugar syrup with the honey. So you buy a jar of honey, but 50 to 60% of it is just sugar syrup." "I actually keep one jar I bought in Dubai, and half of it is syrup and half of it is honey. I keep it to show people, okay, this is fake honey, and this is how it looks." FT @0xBeeSmart @hivebits_io

HiveBits founder Nemanja explains what actually gets tokenized and how it works "When we started the whole idea, the first thing was how we can be transparent, and how we can let the community participate, be part of this whole process. I believe other agriculture branches who want to do similar things need to solve that issue." "In the beekeeping industry people already use different kinds of hardware to measure how much honey they will produce, hive health, all of this. So we decided this is a good start, and we used some existing concepts and upgraded them a bit on our side. We moved it to the next generation." "People always ask what we're tokenizing. Practically we tokenize the whole operation, but in general what we're tokenizing is the beehive, one by one. And why is that interesting? Because a beehive is alive, and it produces every year. Honey, propolis, even bee venom. It also produces other bees, and there's a market for that, where you can catch the swarm and sell it to other beekeepers." "All of these details, how much honey we're going to produce, is the harvest going well or not, we can get through this information. The main goal for us is to optimize the current work we have, because approximately one full-time beekeeper can manage 300 beehives, and with this hardware we can go up to 500." "Your experiences should be a hiring signal for recruiters, rather than inflating CVs" Experience dot fun founder Naaif Ali on turning real world contributions into verifiable records "We're building an app and ecosystem to discover, verify and coordinate real world experiences and contributions to society and local organisations. The world has a coordination issue, and we believe the root cause is the lack of access to participating. Opportunities exist, but they're disconnected and hard to access locally." "We're introducing impact capital markets, because the world prices financial capital but it doesn't price human capital efficiently. Over 2.1 billion people volunteer worldwide every single month. Billions of experiences and contributions remain underrepresented, and their visibility unseen. This proves that today's systems don't accurately measure the value created by individuals in our society." "Educators teach, employers recruit, charities support, governments fund. Four different siloed processes. Our solution is the Real World State Oracle, a system that takes things that happen in the physical world and turns them into verifiable digital records that other people, organisations and applications can trust and use." "Over 80% of employers say graduates are not fully work ready due to lack of exposure to real world experiences. Millions of professional experiences happen offchain, untracked or unrecognised." "Platforms like Zealy, Galxe and LinkedIn Learning only track activity. We actually turn real world contributions into actual opportunities. The missing layer in society is contribution as a service." FT @expdotfun @NALIDidThat

A TRCH1/USDC liquidity pool has also been deployed on @omnipair. Holders can now use TRCH1 as collateral to borrow USDC, while liquidity providers can earn swap fees and borrow interest. The market also supports looping: users can borrow USDC against TRCH1 and use it to increase their exposure. The synergy between Jurassic Finance and Omnipair just turned a 66-million-year-old fossil into a fully productive onchain asset.

"By the time they start getting tokens, those tokens are not worth much, so the whole project disappears" Rip Cars co-founder on why rigid vesting kills teams that were working hard "My point of view is we need more flexibility, because projects are not all the same. Saying that everyone fits into an 18 month vesting doesn't mean anything. Some projects need more than that and some projects need less." "We still need to protect people against rug pulls. If you say all the tokens are liquid and here's your allocation, people just take it and then thank you, bye bye. So the idea is to have some protection for people who are investing, but also not crippling the team and putting them away from their tokens, because then they cannot operate." "So maybe we create project categories, project buckets, and you can be ranked tier one, tier two, tier three. Depending on the tier there would be specific restrictions or conditions. If you're a renowned founder, if the community trusts the team, maybe the vesting could be shorter. The challenge is who decides which project goes into which tier, and that should be a vote by the community." "I've seen many projects really working hard and not necessarily succeeding as much, then failing because they have low liquidity, they have no money to operate. That pushes them down, down, down all the time. Even if they had a great idea, a great team, maybe not a great timing. I've seen that happen over and over." FT @ripcarsio

"During this process of investing, buying, supporting other people, I realized, okay, maybe I can offer a hive onchain. And then we came up with a concept we call hive as a node." "A beehive on the top, there are real bees producing, and then we developed one device, an IoT device we put below the beehive so we can track it. And then we got this hive as a node, a tokenized beehive." "So practically, we tried to find a solution to make the process transparent, and here we are now. The rest is history."
