Marvel Rivals has permanently banned nearly 500 players for cheating.
The funny part is that most of the banned players were still stuck in Bronze rank, the lowest competitive tier.
- 488 accounts were permanently banned for using cheats or modifying the game client.
- 184 of those banned players were in Bronze rank.
- Only 3 banned players had reached the game’s highest rank, “One Above All.”
- NetEase denied rumors that players could disable the anti-cheat system with launch settings.
- The company said repeat offenders could face stronger punishments later, including hardware or IP bans.
Marvel Rivals has made its stance on cheating clear with a new zero-tolerance policy aimed at keeping the game fair for everyone.
The developers said any player caught using cheats, hacks, exploits, third-party software, or anything that gives an unfair advantage faces strict penalties, including permanent bans.
Marvel Rivals is improving its anti-cheat systems and actively monitoring suspicious activity to catch offenders faster.
The developers also warned players against account boosting, modified game files, and abusing in-game glitches. Even small exploits can lead to action against an account.
Players are encouraged to use the in-game report system whenever they spot suspicious behavior. The studio says community reports help identify repeat cheaters.
