Pentagon announces two massive contracts worth about $130 billion as the US seeks to enhance the US armed forces and as the Iran war depletes munitions
Pentagon officials are now estimating the Iran War has cost $100 billion, 4x the original $25 billion estimate.
$100 billion could cover:
—A year of healthcare for 10.8 million Americans
—Two and a half years of free lunches for every public school student
—A $31,250 raise for every public school teacher
—Affordable housing for over 12.5 million Americans
—A year of childcare for over 7 million kids
