trading is hard because over time, we all develop mental injuries that are invisible
in the past, we used to like to call it "breaking of the brain" or going "full left curve" and that may be true, and sounds amazing IF you come out successful from your efforts
but how about those that don't do as well as they wanted?
or along the path to where you want to get to, eating all of the emotion, and constant volatility?
it's hard
what ive done every time is just to talk it out, let it out. and yes, if youre seeing it on social media, you might be like, damn bro is just going through it. but imagine i just kept it in 24/7?
sometimes that can be through x (why i started, was just journaling nft trading journey), talking to peers who also go through all the same niche things, and a few loved ones
loved ones is hard though BECAUSE THEY DONT UNDERSTANDDDDD, but yes, hearing that raw perspective helps a lot too
have fun doing it, but know it does that a mental health toll, protect yourself always, and do things to stay right
health is wealth
even if you can't see it

Trading isn’t a walk in the park.
But the moment you make it…
- You can work from anywhere
- You’ll never need a 9-5 again
- $10k+ months become normal
Never stop trying.
trading in public is a VERY thin line to navigate. there’s a lot of grey area, and all you can really do is try your best
i think about my moves pretty methodically, especially when other people are watching/trading alongside me
i know a lot of people with a “rep” probably do too, and as much as we hold people to a high standard, we have to have empathy
wanted to lay out the thought process here because i actually think it’s interesting to look back on:
> buy hella of the coin, love the xp narrative, learn more about the hylo connection. think it’d be fun to bag work it past $1m to unlock xp on hylo
> buy around $100k. first night it runs to $1m. don’t sell because i see homies buying in after me and it doesn’t feel right
> next day it’s back around $200k. fk it, i own a ton of supply, let’s give away 5m tokens and make it fun. do that, keep buying more lol, somehow end up around 3%
> coin runs to $2m. we’re up ~$60k. juicy
> sell $1k just to make it clear this is still a trade and i will take profit, people take it well
> weird fud + low volume weekend. $1.6m → ~$500k
> trim some at the lows. partly to redistribute supply, partly because i never want people thinking this is “my coin” or that i’m promising to hold forever
whatever happens from here happens
i never feel like i need to explain every buy or sell, but i actually think showing the thought process is useful
for other people, but also for myself
writing it out forces me to think through why i’m doing something instead of just reacting
at the end of the day, we all just gain xp
