YES- the left is COMING FOR YOUR KIDS. A Portland mom is suing the school district after her 11-year-old got a gender identity assignment with zero notice, then got banned for speaking up. Allison Roberts’ child at Meriwether Lewis Elementary was given an “identity flower” activity that asked students to identify and discuss their gender. The school also displayed an Inters*x-Inclusive Progress Pride Flag. When Roberts raised concerns about the curriculum and lack of parental notification, the district allegedly treated her speech as harassment and hate speech. Officials opened an investigation and issued a one-year trespass order that kept her off campus, including missing her son’s graduation. The lawsuit, filed by the Liberty Justice Center, challenges Portland Public Schools’ gender-identity instruction policies. It argues the district denies parents advance notice and opt-out opportunities for certain LGBTQ-affirming lessons and, in some cases, withholds information about a student’s gender identity from parents. Parents have every right to know what is being taught to their children and to object without being treated as threats. When a school district responds to a mother’s questions by banning her from the building, it reveals exactly how little regard it has for parental authority. 🚨A California mother is heading to federal prison for three years after trying to stop her teenage son from transitioning... thanks to the Biden regime and Democrats!! Shana Gaviola refused to affirm her son’s desire to transition after his California school began socially transitioning him without her consent and limited her access to information. In 2021, following a restraining order obtained by the boy, she arranged for him to be taken to a structured Christian boarding school in Missouri. She was federally prosecuted under Biden, convicted of interstate violation of that protective order, and sentenced to 36 months. She reports to prison next week. Her son is now 21 and never transitioned. A mother with no prior criminal record received nearly the maximum sentence for attempting to protect her child from what she believed was irreversible harm. Parental rights mean little if a school can override a parent and the federal government then prosecutes the parent for trying to intervene.
