There are a number of bilateral and multilateral issues at play in such meetings, along with other regional concerns that affect each country differently. Bringing this particular group together provides an unusual opportunity for discussions. The United States and Egypt reaffirm their shared commitment to advancing regional cooperation and addressing ongoing conflicts through sustained dialogue and continuous coordination. During my recent call with Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty we reiterated our urgent call for an immediate humanitarian truce in Sudan to create the space for humanitarian access and transition to civilian governance. The longstanding U.S.-Egypt partnership remains vital to promoting peace and stability across the region.

Good exchange with colleagues from the Liberian foreign ministry on multilateral issues and regional cooperation. Looking forward to new breakthroughs in China-Liberia relations as we work together for shared progress.

Honored to meet H.R.H. Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. I commended the GCC's resilience and we discussed how it reflects years of reform, strong fundamentals, and regional cooperation. Thank you, Bahrain, for hosting an excellent GCC-IMF meeting.

Working in Ivano-Frankivsk region. I took part in the first Carpathian Eight (C8) Summit, inaugurated by President Volodymyr Zelensky. This is a new format of diplomatic, economic and regional cooperation launched by the President. It brings together Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Czechia, Austria and Serbia. It's important that C8 becomes a permanent format working for the development of the whole Carpathian region. Within C8, almost 100 business projects from the eight countries will be presented, worth a total of around €40 billion. In the coming years, the region's economy could grow twice as fast as the EU average. We're committed to ensuring these few days deliver concrete agreements, new opportunities for Ukraine's economy and security, and stronger ties with our neighbors.

President Xi Jinping attended the 26th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and delivered remarks. President Xi Jinping summarized the highlights of SCO development from three perspectives, pointing out that its biggest achievement is that it has steadily grown into a new type of regional cooperation organization with the largest land area and population and enormous development potential. Its most valuable spiritual asset is that it pioneered, and has since followed invariably, the Shanghai Spirit of mutual trust, mutual benefit, equality, consultation, respect for diversity of civilizations, and pursuit of common development. Its most important experience for cooperation is that it has found the right way of coexistence featuring non-alliance, non-confrontation and not targeting any third party, enabling regional countries to build a common home together.

At #BSF2026#, leaders and experts focused on strengthening European security, competitiveness, resilience, and regional cooperation. A clear takeaway: in a more fragmented world, dialogue remains essential. Valuable exchanges with Prime Ministers Peter Magyar, Andrej Babiš, Andrej Plenković, and many other partners helped advance that conversation and identify areas for practical cooperation.
