Speaking at an Islamic Center in Bloomington, he urged Muslims to rise into leadership through education and civic engagement, pointing to New York City’s Muslim mayor as proof that their moment has arrived. “Americans are right to be scared that Muslims are here to replace them. We are the new kids on the block, this is our moment.
