Seriously, why does tokenization matter and why should you care? I think a lot of people are still looking at the concept from the wrong angle. They see a stock, bond or fund being put onchain and tokenized and think the main innovation is simply that the asset now has a token. That’s not really the cool part. The cool part is that you can start building financial products, markets and infrastructure around an asset that exists natively on digital rails. Distribution changes, settlement changes, collateral changes & liquidity can change. The way different parts of the financial system interact with each other can change. And that’s why I think tokenization is being massively underestimated. And I know this sounds generic but we aren’t just putting the existing financial system onchain. We’re starting to build a financial system that was never possible with the old rails.

Seriously: US news is so much better than German news. I have subscriptions to Bloomberg, the WSJ, The Information, and others; in Germany, I subscribe to *Der Spiegel*, the *Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung*, and more. You find very little coverage - especially regarding breaking news, the war in Iran, energy prices, data center expansion, and so on - compared to US news. It’s crazy, but I actually read more American news - even about European politics - than German news.

serious question, at this point why not simply cancel the ipo’s & nationalize the labs? theoretically nationalization would solve some of the incentive problems immediately. the us treasury becomes the only shareholder. the govt can coordinate compute, model releases, security standards, & pacing without asking rival firms to collude. you could theoretically put openai, anthropic, & eventually other designated frontier labs under something analogous to a federally owned strategic technology corporation, with the president appointing the board rather than literally having sam & dario file weekly tps reports to the oval office.

Serious wipeout across the entire memestocks and memecoin/utility coin pairing meta. It was coming. So much trash popping up daily which made the entire meta highly PvP. Glad I exited most degen and 'new flavor of the day' positions as soon as this domain got so frothy. It only gets worse from here. Guess where all my profits went?
